Electric dirt bikes are used for play, skills training and off-road riding where a petrol engine's noise and maintenance are no longer needed. Start from who will ride, where and for how long per session – that decides power, battery and size more than any model name.
1. Where can you ride an electric dirt bike?
An electric dirt bike has no road type-approval and may therefore not be used in public traffic in any EU country – not on roads, cycle paths or public forest and gravel tracks. It belongs on private land with the owner's permission, enclosed areas or motorsport tracks. That applies regardless of power and also to kids' models. Some countries have extra requirements even off-road, such as registration or liability insurance in France, so check the national rules – see EU Regulation 168/2013 and your national road authority.
