AirTag bike mount

Buying guide

AirTag bike mount for bicycles and electric scooters

Give your tracker a secure mounting point on your vehicle. Choose a separate AirTag holder or a mount built into a bell, rear reflector or bottle cage. The range also includes a standalone Bluetooth tracker for Apple's Find My network. First decide whether you need a holder or a tracker, then check the mounting location.

In short

  • An AirTag holder is a mount, not a tracker. Check the package contents.
  • Match the holder to the saddle rails, seatpost, handlebar diameter or frame mounts.
  • A Find My tracker is different from a GPS device with a mobile data connection.
  • Use tracking alongside a lock; a concealed position does not guarantee that a device stays undetected.

How to choose an AirTag bike mount

Saddle, bottle cage, bell or reflector

Choose the mount to suit the bicycle's construction. Under the saddle, the clamp must match the rail shape and dimensions, with room for items such as a saddle bag. A rear reflector mounts on the seatpost: compare its diameter with the supplied clamps. A bottle cage uses the frame mounting points and needs room for the bottle. For a bell, check handlebar diameter, clamp fit and access to the lever. An AirTag compartment does not make an accessory suitable for every bicycle.

AirTag holders for electric scooters

An adhesive capsule can be an option when the vehicle has no bicycle mounting points. Check that there is enough clean, dry, flat surface and follow the adhesive instructions. A bell with an AirTag compartment may fit if its handlebar clamp has the correct dimensions. Leave steering and folding mechanisms free to move and do not obstruct lights or controls. Check the fixing after installation and the first few rides.

AirTag holder or Bluetooth tracker?

A holder has no tracking electronics. Buy an AirTag separately unless the package explicitly includes one. According to its product information, the standalone tracker in this range uses Bluetooth and Apple's Find My network, without its own GPS or SIM card. It is a different product from a holder and needs no additional AirTag. Explore other useful features in our smart accessories collection.

Check compatibility and protection

Match the holder dimensions to your AirTag version and check the tracker's phone and app requirements. A lid or drainage hole does not prove that the complete fitting is waterproof; use the documentation for the selected model. Find My location updates depend on the device being detected and are not guaranteed real-time tracking. Phones can alert people to unknown trackers moving with them; see Apple's tracking alert information. Add a suitable lock.

Frequently asked questions

Is an AirTag included with the holder?

Plan to buy the AirTag separately unless the package contents explicitly say otherwise. An AirTag in a product photo may illustrate how the holder is used. A standalone tracker, by contrast, is the electronic device itself.

Is AirTag a GPS tracker with real-time location?

No. AirTag uses Bluetooth and the Find My network. Its location can update when compatible devices detect it; do not expect continuous positioning or guaranteed recovery of a stolen vehicle.

Can I use an AirTag with Android?

Registering and using your own AirTag requires a compatible Apple device and Apple's Find My app. Android alerts about an unknown tracker do not mean Android can act as the owner's Find My app. Check the requirements of any alternative tracker.

Will every AirTag mount fit an electric scooter?

No. Saddle and frame mounts require the corresponding construction. A handlebar mount or adhesive capsule may be suitable for a scooter, but check dimensions, surface and clearance before buying.
