Range and battery – how far an APEFOX electric bike goes
The stated 100 and 80 km apply at low assistance, on smooth roads and with a light rider – expect around two thirds in everyday use and less in cold weather. The batteries are removable and charge in 7–8 hours from a standard wall socket. Bring the battery indoors in winter; it extends its lifespan.
Rules and speed limiter for an APEFOX electric bike in Europe
In most EU countries an e-bike counts as a bicycle when the motor assists only up to 25 km/h and the rated output is no more than 250 W. Both the RH20 (2 × 500 W) and the RH30 (500 W) exceed that output and are therefore formally treated as mopeds in most places, even with the 25 km/h speed limiter. Check the national registration, licence, insurance and helmet rules that apply before riding on public roads; the RH20 in unlocked mode is intended for enclosed private land only.
