Electric scooter mirror and e-bike mirror – choose the right mount

A rear-view mirror helps you keep track of what is behind you. This range includes handlebar mirrors, bar-end models, a wrist mirror and a rear-view camera with a screen. Start with the mounting method, then compare the viewing area, adjustment and package contents. A mirror or camera supports your own observation; it does not replace a shoulder check.

In short

  • Clamp mount: check the handlebar’s outside diameter at the mounting point.
  • Bar-end mirror: check the inside diameter and access to the bar end.
  • Folding or wrist model: choose according to available space and use.
  • Rear-view camera: check both mounts, cable routing and charging.
  • Read whether the product is supplied singly or as a pair.

Buying guide: electric scooter mirrors and bicycle mirrors

Handlebar mirrors with a clamp mount

Measure the handlebar’s outside diameter exactly where the mirror will sit. Check for space beside the display, brake lever and throttle. A flexible arm lets you adjust the mirror’s position, while a different shape or longer arm changes where it sits. Names such as Sport or Classic do not establish compatibility. Compare the mount dimensions with your own handlebar before choosing.

Mini and other bar-end mirrors

An expansion mount fits inside the handlebar opening and needs the correct inside diameter. This is different from the outside diameter. Check insertion depth and whether the grip end can be opened according to the vehicle’s instructions. Mini and Folding have different stated dimensions, so use the specification for the exact product. A compact mirror can save handlebar space, but you still need to adjust it for a useful rear view.

Wrist mirrors and folding mirrors

The wrist model straps around your wrist and needs no vehicle mount. Try its position in your normal riding posture and check that your hands can operate all controls freely. A folding mirror can be tucked away for storage. Check clearance around the vehicle’s folding mechanism and readjust the mirror before riding again. Always check whether one or two mirrors are supplied; a photograph showing a pair does not necessarily mean a pair is included.

A rear-view camera with a screen

Smart backkamera combines a rear-facing camera with a handlebar screen. It displays a camera image instead of a reflection. Check that both units can be mounted on your vehicle, that the cable is long enough and can be routed without pinching, and how the system is charged. Read the instructions for each component’s weather protection. A camera holder alone is a different product. Do not assume that a live display also records video.

Set the view and check the mounting

Follow the fitting instructions and adjust the mirror while standing or sitting in your usual riding position. Remove any protective film and check that the mount is secure. Steering, brakes, cables and the folding mechanism must move freely. Keep the mirror or camera lens clean and check alignment after transport. Browse our accessories for other additions. If dimensions are missing, send the model name and photos to customer service.

Frequently asked questions

Can an electric scooter mirror also fit an e-bike?

It may, but the mount type, dimensions and free space determine compatibility. Check your exact vehicle. A wrist mirror is worn on your wrist instead.

Should I measure the handlebar’s inside or outside diameter?

For a clamp mount, measure the outside diameter at the mounting point. For a bar-end expansion mount, measure the inside diameter and check insertion depth.

Is one mirror included or a pair?

This varies by product. Read the package contents for the selected model and variant rather than relying on the number shown in a photograph.

What is the difference between a mirror and a rear-view camera?

A mirror shows a reflection. A rear-view camera sends an image to a screen and requires power or charging. Check the mounts, cable routing and functions before buying.

Does a rear-view mirror replace a shoulder check?

No. A mirror or camera complements your own observation. Check traffic and blind spots directly before manoeuvring.
