VIPCOO Electric Scooters
Wheelyshop stocks the VIPCOO electric scooter range in three versions, and they differ more than the names suggest: the VIPCOO VS6 weighs 28 kg and runs a single 1000 W motor, while the VIPCOO VS9 has dual motors totalling 3600 W, hydraulic disc brakes and weighs 45.7 kg. The VS6 Pro sits between them. This page shows exactly what each step up gives you – and what it costs you in kilos.
The three models share more than you would expect: all of them fold, all have front and rear suspension, air-filled off-road tyres, an IPX4 rating, three riding modes, cruise control, indicators and an electric horn, and all three are speed-limited from the factory. The differences sit in motor output (1000 W, 2400 W and 3600 W), battery (48V 18.2Ah, 52V 20.8Ah and 60V 26Ah), range (45, 65 and 90 km), tyre size (10, 10 and 11 inches), brakes (disc brakes with E-ABS, electronic disc brakes and hydraulic disc brakes) and weight (28, 31 and 45.7 kg). Two details surprise most buyers: the NFC lock and the adjustable handlebars are fitted to the VS6 and the VIPCOO VS6 Pro but not to the flagship VS9, which instead gets dual charging ports, a 150 kg load limit and a 22 cm wide deck. All three also appear in our off-road electric scooters. Every order comes with free shipping on orders over SEK 699, a 1-year warranty and flexible payment options at checkout. VIPCOO VS6, VS6 Pro and VS9 – what actually separates them?
VIPCOO is sold here as three models, and they are not the same scooter at three price points. Motor output runs from 1000 W to 3600 W, range from 45 km to 90 km and weight from 28 kg to 45.7 kg, which makes the flagship more than 60 per cent heavier than the entry model. The brakes change technology twice on the way up, and two pieces of equipment actually disappear at the top. Below we go through exactly what each step buys you, and what you have to live with.
VIPCOO VS6 – 1000 W, 45 km and 28 kg
The VIPCOO VS6 is the entry model and the only one in the range with a single motor: 1000 W, a stated top speed of 45 km/h and a 25-degree climbing angle. The 48V 18.2Ah battery is quoted at up to 45 km and charges in 8–9 hours, so an overnight charge covers it. Braking is handled by two disc brakes combined with electronic E-ABS, which makes the VS6 the only VIPCOO we stock with two separate braking systems. Tyres are 10-inch air-filled off-road tyres, suspension is fitted front and rear, and the load limit is 120 kg. What makes the VS6 easy to live with is the weight: at 28 kg it is the only VIPCOO most people will happily lift into a car boot on a regular basis. The handlebars adjust and the NFC lock ships with three cards. In short: the lightest frame, the simplest ownership and the lowest performance in the family.
Stepping up to the VIPCOO VS6 Pro – dual motors and 20 km more
The VIPCOO VS6 Pro is the same basic machine with more of everything that drives it forward. One motor becomes two: 1200 W each, 2400 W combined, lifting the stated top speed from 45 to 60 km/h and the climbing angle from 25 to 35 degrees. It is the clearest illustration of the fact that climbing ability follows the drivetrain and the weight, not the wheel size: the VS6 and the VS6 Pro roll on exactly the same 10 inches, yet the dual drivetrain takes ten degrees more gradient. The battery grows from 48V 18.2Ah to 52V 20.8Ah, range from 45 to 65 km, and charging time from 8–9 to 9–10 hours. The tyres stay at 10 inches but switch to tubeless off-road rubber (10*2.75-6.5), and braking is by electronic disc brakes front and rear – note that the E-ABS layer quoted for the VS6 is not listed for the Pro. The cost of the upgrade in practice: 3 kg, for 31 kg all in. Everything else carries over unchanged – the same 120 kg load limit, the same adjustable handlebars, the same NFC lock with three cards, the same 4.5-inch colour display, the same IPX4 rating. This is the step for riders who like the VS6 format but want pulling power on hills and roughly a third more range.
Stepping up to the VIPCOO VS9 – hydraulics, 11 inches and 150 kg
The VIPCOO VS9 is a bigger machine, not merely a stronger one. Two 1800 W motors give 3600 W in total, a stated top speed of 65 km/h and a 37-degree climbing angle. The 60V 26Ah battery is quoted at up to 90 km, and thanks to dual charging ports and two chargers in the box the charging time drops to 6–7 hours – the VS9 therefore charges faster than the smaller models despite having the largest battery. Braking changes technology to hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, the tyres grow to 11 inches, the deck is 22 cm wide and the load limit rises from 120 to 150 kg. Recommended rider height is quoted at 155–195 cm. The step has a price, though: the VS9 weighs 45.7 kg, which is 14.7 kg more than the VS6 Pro, and two things fitted to the smaller models are missing here – the NFC lock and the adjustable handlebars. The VS9 is also the only VIPCOO listed in our long-range electric scooters.
Which VIPCOO suits you?
Start with weight and surface, not with top speed. If the scooter has to be carried up stairs, into a lift or into a car, the 28 kg VS6 is the only realistic choice in the brand. If you live somewhere hilly, are a heavier rider, or want 65 km instead of 45 km, the VS6 Pro is the middle choice that keeps everything practical about the VS6. If you ride long distances, carry weight, or ride genuinely rough surfaces – and have somewhere to store the scooter at ground level – the VS9 is the only one of the three with hydraulic brakes, 11-inch tyres and a 150 kg load limit. All three sit in our off-road electric scooters, and the quoted range figures are measured under favourable conditions. We do not stock VIPCOO-branded spare parts, but general wear items such as tyres, inner tubes, brake pads and chargers are in our spare parts portal, and model-specific parts can be ordered in on request with a price quote – just contact customer service with the model name. Every order ships with free shipping on orders over SEK 699, a 1-year warranty and flexible payment options, and locks and lighting are in our electric scooter accessories. All three models go well beyond the 25 km/h that most European countries allow for road-legal riding, so check the rules where you live and keep the faster modes for private land – our blog on electric scooter laws is a good starting point.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about VIPCOO electric scooters
What is the difference between the VIPCOO VS6, VS6 Pro and VS9?
Three steps, three clear differences. The VIPCOO VS6 has a single 1000 W motor, a 48V 18.2Ah battery quoted at up to 45 km, a stated top speed of 45 km/h, 10-inch tyres, disc brakes with E-ABS and weighs 28 kg. The VIPCOO VS6 Pro has dual 1200 W motors (2400 W), a 52V 20.8Ah battery quoted at up to 65 km, 60 km/h, the same 10-inch format, electronic disc brakes and weighs 31 kg. The VIPCOO VS9 has dual 1800 W motors (3600 W), a 60V 26Ah battery quoted at up to 90 km, 65 km/h, 11-inch tyres, hydraulic disc brakes, a 150 kg load limit and weighs 45.7 kg. Climbing angles follow the same ladder: 25, 35 and 37 degrees.
Which VIPCOO model should I choose?
Let weight decide first. If you need to carry the scooter, or lift it into a car often, the 28 kg VS6 is the only manageable option in the brand – the VS9 weighs 45.7 kg. If you ride hilly terrain, weigh more, or want 65 km of range instead of 45 km, the VS6 Pro is the middle choice: dual motors and a 35-degree climbing angle, but the same format and the same equipment as the VS6. If you want maximum range, hydraulic brakes, 11-inch tyres and a 150 kg load limit, the VS9 is the one – provided you have somewhere to keep it that does not involve carrying it.
Do all VIPCOO models have an NFC lock and adjustable handlebars?
No, and this is the most common misunderstanding about the brand. The NFC lock with three cards and the adjustable handlebars are fitted to the VIPCOO VS6 and the VIPCOO VS6 Pro, but not to the VIPCOO VS9, which has fixed handlebars and ships without NFC cards. The VS9 compensates with dual charging ports, a 22 cm wide deck and a 150 kg load limit. What all three do share is front and rear suspension, air-filled off-road tyres, an IPX4 rating, a folding frame, three riding modes, cruise control, indicators and an electric horn.
How do the brakes and charging times differ between the models?
The brakes change technology twice. The VS6 has two disc brakes plus electronic E-ABS, the VS6 Pro has electronic disc brakes front and rear, and the VS9 has hydraulic disc brakes front and rear – the only hydraulics in the range. Charging time does not follow battery size: the VS6 takes 8–9 hours, the VS6 Pro 9–10 hours and the VS9 only 6–7 hours, because it has two charging ports and ships with two chargers. We do not stock VIPCOO-branded spare parts, but wear items such as brake pads, tyres and chargers are in our spare parts portal, and model-specific parts can be ordered in with a price quote.
Where am I allowed to ride a VIPCOO electric scooter?
Check your local rules before you buy. All three models are quoted well above the speed ceiling that applies to road-legal electric scooters in most European countries, so the faster riding modes belong on private land or a closed site. They are speed-limited from the factory, but the limiter does not make them road-legal everywhere.
