Choosing the right iENYRID electric scooter – a guide to the models
The models share the same basic construction but differ in battery, motor, weight and format. First decide whether you want to stand or sit and how far you ride per charge.
A1, S1, M4 PRO S+ MAX and ES1 – iENYRID electric scooters in the range
The iENYRID A1 is the lightest in the range at 19.5 kg, with an 800 W motor, a 48 V 12.5 Ah battery (600 Wh) and up to 30 km of range. It is the only one with an ignition key and takes a 150 kg maximum load. The iENYRID S1 is the step up for longer trips: 800 W rated and 1,000 W peak, 48 V 15 Ah (720 Wh), 40 km of range and 25.7 kg. The S1 is recommended for riders between 122 and 200 cm.
The iENYRID M4 PRO S+ MAX is the only model in the range with a saddle and at the same time the one with the longest claimed range: 75 km from a 48 V 20 Ah battery (960 Wh), an 800 W motor, 25.4 kg and a USB port for charging your phone. The top model, the iENYRID ES1, has two 1,200 W motors, 2,400 W in total, 48 V 20.8 Ah (998 Wh), 60 km of range and a 60 km/h top speed. At 30 kg it is the heaviest but climbs the steepest hills.
Range and battery – from 600 to 998 Wh
All models use 48 V systems, so it is the amp-hours that decide the range: 12.5 Ah on the A1, 15 Ah on the S1, 20 Ah on the M4 PRO S+ MAX and 20.8 Ah on the ES1. The manufacturer's 30, 40, 75 and 60 km respectively apply under favourable conditions; expect 60–75 percent in real everyday riding with cold weather, headwind and hills. An A1 then realistically gives 18–22 km and an M4 PRO S+ MAX 45–56 km. Charging time is 6–8 hours on all of them and the battery is fixed in the frame, so plan for overnight charging. Motor, hills and weight on an iENYRID electric scooter
The A1, S1 and M4 PRO S+ MAX have a single 800 W motor (the S1 peaks at 1,000 W), which is enough for 45 km/h and moderate hills: the A1 is rated for 10-degree climbs, the S1 for 20 degrees and the M4 PRO S+ MAX for 25 degrees. The ES1 with dual motors and 2,400 W is rated for 30 degrees and drives both wheels, which gives better grip on gravel. The power costs weight: the A1 at 19.5 kg can be carried up stairs, the S1 and M4 PRO S+ MAX at 25–26 kg are best lifted short distances, while the ES1 at 30 kg is best stored at ground level. Maximum load is 150 kg on the A1 and M4 PRO S+ MAX and 120 kg on the S1 and ES1. All of them fold, with an adjustable handlebar, three riding modes and cruise control.
Comfort and brakes – 10-inch tyres, suspension and E-ABS
Here iENYRID is unusually consistent. Every model rolls on 10-inch pneumatic off-road tyres and has shock absorbers both front and rear, which gives a smooth ride on cobblestones and bumpy tarmac. The brakes are two disc brakes with electronic E-ABS on all models. Front and rear lights, ambient light and a horn are standard; the A1, S1 and ES1 have indicators, the M4 PRO S+ MAX instead has a saddle and a USB port. No model has an app, NFC key, removable battery or puncture-proof tyres. The A1 is IP54 rated, the others IPX4. Rules in Europe for an iENYRID electric scooter
In most EU countries an e-scooter can only be ridden as a bicycle if it is limited to 20–25 km/h and, usually, no more than 250 W rated motor output. No iENYRID electric scooter meets that: the least powerful has 800 W and 45 km/h, the ES1 a full 2,400 W and 60 km/h. All of them are therefore formally treated as mopeds or motor vehicles in most countries: on public roads they need national registration, insurance and the licence your country requires, otherwise they belong on enclosed private land. Every model ships with a 25 km/h speed limiter, but the limiter does not change the classification because the motor output is still above 250 W. Which iENYRID electric scooter is best for commuting?
The iENYRID A1 (19.5 kg, 30 km) is the easiest to carry and store and is enough for shorter commutes, while the S1 (25.7 kg, 40 km) gives more margin for longer days. If you want to sit down and ride far, the M4 PRO S+ MAX with its saddle and 75 km of claimed range is the natural choice.
