Wheely electric scooter – all series and models at Wheelyshop

Wheely is Wheelyshop's own brand, and it shows in the breadth of the range: models ranging from the Junior series for children with 130 W and 14 km/h to the X14 Pro with dual motors delivering a combined 10,000 W. Stated range runs from 5–8 km to 140 km, and weight from 6.6 to 65 kg. You will find light everyday models such as the 15 kg J04, commuter models with a saddle such as the N3 Max and J01, and powerful dual-motor models built for maximum range. Because Wheely is our own brand, spare parts and support are always close at hand, and as always at Wheelyshop you get free delivery on all electric vehicles and a 2-year warranty.

In short

  • Wheely electric scooters: 130–10,000 W rated output, 5–140 km stated range and 6.6–65 kg.
  • The series: Junior for children, J for everyday riding and commuting, N for commuting with a saddle, H for city and terrain, and X for long range and dual motors.
  • The J04 (15 kg) is the easiest to carry, the X13 (140 km) goes furthest, and several models have a saddle, including the N3 Max, J01 and X13.
  • Rules in Europe: only the Junior series (130 W, 14 km/h) stays within the 250 W and 20–25 km/h limits most EU countries set for bicycle-class e-scooters – every adult model needs national registration and insurance on public roads, or enclosed private land.
  • Wheelyshop's own brand: free delivery on all electric vehicles, 2-year warranty and spare parts in our own portal.

Choosing the right Wheely electric scooter – a guide to the models

Here we walk through the series, what the range and power figures mean in practice, how comfort differs between models and what applies on European roads. If you want to compare with other brands, all electric scooters are gathered in one collection.

Wheely electric scooters series by series – from Junior to X

It helps to think in series:

  • Junior S2, S2 Pro, S3 and S5 – children's models weighing 6.6–8.2 kg with 130 W, 14 km/h, puncture-proof tyres and E-ABS plus a foot brake. The S2 Pro suits ages 3–8, the S5 ages 5–14.
  • J series – the everyday class. The J04 weighs 15 kg and has an app; the J01, J11 Max, J15 Max and J2 Max have a 48 V battery, front and rear suspension and 50–55 km of stated range.
  • N3 Max and N3L Max – commuter models at 21–22 kg with a saddle, indicators and a 25 km/h speed limiter.
  • H14 and H6 – the H14 is a city model with a saddle and 14-inch pneumatic tyres, the H6 an off-road model with dual motors delivering 2,400 W.
  • X series – the performance class: X11 Pro and X7 for terrain, and X10, X8P, X13 and X14 Pro with dual motors and 120–140 km of stated range.
  • A19, ES-X2 Max and HVD-3 – the A19 has 12-inch tyres and an app, the ES-X2 Max handles 35° climbs and the HVD-3 combines a saddle with fully puncture-proof tyres.

Range and battery in a Wheely electric scooter

Stated range is the manufacturer's figure under ideal conditions. Expect 60–75 % in real-world riding; cold weather, hills, rider weight and high speed all bring the figure down. A J01 with 48 V 15 Ah (720 Wh) and 50 km of stated range therefore delivers around 30–37 km in everyday use, comfortably enough for most commutes there and back. Battery size is what decides it: the J04 and A19 have 36 V 15 Ah (540 Wh), the J11 Max and J15 Max 48 V 18 Ah (864 Wh), and the X13 tops the range with 60 V 50 Ah, i.e. 3,000 Wh and 140 km of stated range. Our practical tips to get more range from every charge work whatever model you ride.

Charging takes 2–3 hours for the Junior models, 5–8 hours for most adult models and 9–11 hours for the X10 and X7 with a single charger. The X7, X10, X8P, X13 and X14 Pro have dual charging ports for two chargers.

Motor, hills and weight

Rated output runs from 500 W (A19) and 600 W (J04, H14) via 800 W (J01, N3 Max, HVD-3) and 1,200–1,600 W (J2 Max, ES-X2 Max, J15 Max) to the dual-motor models: H6 2,400 W, X7 3,600 W, X10 6,000 W, X8P and X13 8,000 W and X14 Pro 10,000 W. You notice it on the hills: the J04 and A19 manage 15°, the N3 models 25°, the ES-X2 Max 35° and the X8P and X13 a full 50°.

More power means more weight. The 15 kg J04 is easily carried up a flight of stairs, the N3 Max and A19 weigh 21–21.5 kg, the J Max models 26–29 kg, while the X13, X8P and X14 Pro at 64–65 kg are vehicles you roll rather than carry. Recommended maximum load is 100 kg for the J04, 120 kg for most models, 150 kg for the J01 and ES-X2 Max among others, and 300 kg for the X8P, X13 and X14 Pro.

Comfort: tyres, suspension, brakes and saddle

Most adult models have 10–11-inch off-road-style pneumatic tyres and front and rear suspension, which makes for a smooth ride on cobbles and gravel; the most terrain-ready ones are among our off-road models. The exceptions are the J04 and A19 without suspension and the H14 with front suspension only. If you want to avoid punctures altogether, choose the J04 or HVD-3 with solid tyres, or the X8P, X13 and X14 Pro with puncture-resistant 13–14-inch tyres. The brakes follow the performance: a single disc brake on the J04, dual disc brakes in the mid-range and dual hydraulic disc brakes on the X8P, X13 and X14 Pro.

Several models come with a saddle – including the N3 Max, J01, J11 Max, HVD-3 and X13 – and you can compare them with other brands' electric scooters with a saddle. Most models have indicators, and several have an ignition key or NFC unlocking, while the J04 and A19 are controlled via an app. Water resistance of IPX4–IP55 copes with rain but not pressure washing. What the IP rating means in practice, and how to ride and care for your scooter in the wet, is explained in our guide to riding an electric scooter in the rain.

Wheely electric scooter and the rules in Europe

In most EU countries an e-scooter may only be ridden as a bicycle if it is limited to 20–25 km/h and, usually, 250 W of rated motor output. Such vehicles may use the cycle path, and helmet and minimum-age rules vary from country to country. In the Wheely range only the Junior S2, S2 Pro, S3 and S5 stay within those limits with their 130 W and 14 km/h – children's vehicles to be used with a helmet and under adult supervision. All adult models have 500 W or more and a stated top speed of at least 35 km/h, so they are formally treated as mopeds in most countries: on public roads they need national registration and insurance where that is available, and otherwise they are intended for enclosed private land.

The speed limiter on the ES-X2 Max (18 km/h), X11 Pro (20 km/h) and N3 Max and N3L Max (25 km/h) does not change the classification, since motor output still exceeds 250 W. Check the rules of your country before you decide – the EU overview of road rules and safety is a good starting point. See our country-by-country guide to electric scooter laws in Europe.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Wheely electric scooter legal on public roads in Europe?

It depends on the model. The Junior S2, S2 Pro, S3 and S5 have 130 W and 14 km/h and stay within the limits most EU countries set for bicycle-class e-scooters, so they can be used like a bicycle – helmet and age rules vary by country. All adult models have at least 500 W of rated output and a stated top speed of at least 35 km/h, which formally puts them in the moped class in most countries; they need national registration and insurance on public roads, or enclosed private land. A speed limiter does not change the classification as long as output exceeds 250 W.

How far does a Wheely electric scooter go on a charge?

Stated range is 5–8 km for the Junior models, 35 km for the J04 and H14, 40–60 km for most adult models and 120–140 km for the X10, X8P, X14 Pro and X13. Expect 60–75 % of the stated figure in real-world riding, as cold weather, hills and rider weight all play a part. The longest range in the line-up belongs to the X13 with its 60 V 50 Ah battery and 140 km stated.

Which Wheely electric scooter is best for commuting?

If it has to be carried up stairs or taken on the train, the 15 kg J04 is the natural choice, with 35 km of stated range and puncture-proof tyres. If you would rather sit down, the N3 Max or N3L Max with saddle, indicators and 40–50 km of stated range fit the bill, as does the J01 with a saddle and 150 kg maximum load. Remember that all adult models count as mopeds in most EU countries.

Does Wheely have models with a saddle, suspension and an app?

Several models have a saddle: N3 Max, N3L Max, J01, J11 Max, HVD-3, H14, X8P, X13 and X14 Pro. Almost all adult models have front and rear suspension, while the J04 and A19 have none and the H14 has front suspension. The J04 and A19 come with an app, and several models, including the X10, X13 and X14 Pro, unlock via NFC.

Are spare parts available for Wheely electric scooters?

Yes. Wheely is Wheelyshop's own brand, so we know the models and keep wear parts, chargers and batteries in our spare parts portal. All electric vehicles come with a 2-year warranty, and our customer service helps you find the right part for your model.
