Product description

79BIKE Lynx Trail: a powerful electric dirt bike built for off-road.

The 79BIKE Lynx Trail is a high-performance electric dirt bike developed for riders who want to combine raw electric power with long range and advanced control on demanding terrain. The mid-mounted motor delivers 5,000 W nominal output and up to 12,000 W peak power, while the removable 72 V 40 Ah lithium battery provides up to approximately 120 km of range in favourable conditions. With a top speed of up to 90 km/h, 410 Nm of torque, a climbing ability of up to 50° and front and rear suspension, the Lynx Trail is built for serious electric off-road riding.

5,000 W motor with up to 12,000 W peak power.

At the heart of the 79BIKE Lynx Trail is a powerful PMSM motor with 5,000 W nominal output and up to 12,000 W peak. Power is transferred through a robust drivetrain with a gearbox and chain drive, giving quick response and efficient delivery to the rear wheel. Maximum torque of around 410 Nm gives the Lynx Trail strong pull for acceleration, technical sections and steep inclines. The stated climbing ability is up to 50° in suitable conditions.

72 V 40 Ah battery with up to 120 km range.

The removable 72 V 40 Ah lithium-ion battery is designed to deliver stable power even when the bike is working under heavy load. In favourable conditions, the 79BIKE Lynx Trail offers up to approximately 120 km of range. Actual range depends on factors such as riding mode, speed, rider weight, temperature, terrain and how often full motor power is used. On longer off-road rides, the large battery capacity gives you considerably more flexibility than smaller electric dirt bike models.

Fast charging in around four hours.

Despite the large battery capacity, charging takes around four hours with the included charging system. That makes it easier to top up the Lynx Trail between rides without long waits. The battery is also removable, making charging and handling more convenient when the bike is kept in a garage, storage unit or transport vehicle.

Three riding modes for tailored performance.

The 79BIKE Lynx Trail offers three riding modes that let you adapt power delivery to the terrain and your riding style. A calmer mode is ideal when you want smooth response and longer range, while the more powerful modes unlock more of the motor's performance. This makes the bike versatile enough for everything from technical woodland sections to faster, more open off-road stretches.

FastAce front fork for precise control.

Up front is a FastAce fork with 203 mm of travel, designed to absorb bigger bumps and give better control over the front wheel. Long travel and a robust construction help the Lynx Trail deal with rocks, roots and rough tracks. At the rear, a separate shock absorber with about 85 mm of travel complements the fork and keeps the rear wheel stable over varied terrain.

Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear.

High power calls for effective braking. That is why the 79BIKE Lynx Trail is fitted with hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels, with discs of approximately 220 mm front and rear. The system provides progressive, controlled braking, which is especially important at higher speeds, on steep descents and in technical off-road sections.

19- and 18-inch off-road tyres.

The Lynx Trail uses a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel with air-filled off-road tyres. The larger front diameter helps the wheel roll over obstacles, while the rear tyre is designed for efficient power transfer. Combined with around 280 mm of ground clearance, this makes the bike well suited to trails, gravel, dirt and other tough surfaces.

Smart display with NFC unlocking.

The large HD multifunction display shows key information clearly while you ride, including speed and vehicle status. The Lynx Trail also features NFC technology for quick unlocking and comes with both an NFC card and an NFC wristband. This makes starting the bike easier without always needing a traditional key.

LED lighting and indicators for better visibility.

The 79BIKE Lynx Trail has a complete LED lighting system with dipped beam, main beam, DRL, tail light, brake light, indicators and ambient lighting. This improves visibility when riding in the dark and makes it easier to signal turns. An electric horn completes the system, letting you alert others when needed.

6061 aluminium frame for stability and strength.

The frame is made from 6061 T4/T6 aluminium alloy and is designed to combine high structural strength with a manageable weight. The Lynx Trail weighs about 66 kg including the battery and supports a recommended maximum rider weight of 120 kg. A wheelbase of around 1,260 mm and a seat height of around 855 mm give it a stable, clearly off-road-focused geometry.

IP67 rating and smart safety features.

The 79BIKE Lynx Trail has an IP67 rating for its main systems, providing a high level of protection against dust and water in normal use. It also has a kickstand sensor and night mode that complement the mechanical design. Despite the IP67 rating, the electrical components should not be submerged unnecessarily or exposed to extreme amounts of water.

Bluetooth and smart connectivity.

The Lynx Trail has built-in Bluetooth for wireless connection and supports compatible smart features. It can also be used with the associated app functions where these are supported. This gives the bike a more modern digital interface that complements the NFC system and smart display.

Choose the 79BIKE Lynx Trail for electric off-road performance.

The 79BIKE Lynx Trail combines 5,000 W nominal output, up to 12,000 W peak, a 72 V 40 Ah battery and up to around 120 km of range with 410 Nm of torque and a climbing ability of up to 50°. FastAce suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, 19- and 18-inch off-road tyres, three riding modes, NFC, LED lighting and an IP67 rating make it an advanced electric dirt bike for riders who prioritise power and control. The package includes the 79BIKE Lynx Trail, charger, footpegs, four black cable ties, NFC wristband, three front mudguard screws, NFC card, key, multi-tool, product manual and warranty certificate. Laws & rules

EU-wide rules
  • Electric bikes: under Regulation (EU) 168/2013 a pedal-assisted bike with a motor of max 250 W that cuts out at 25 km/h is a bicycle in every EU country – no registration, licence or insurance. Anything more powerful or faster is a moped (L1e) with type approval, registration, licence, insurance and helmet requirements.
  • Electric scooters: e-scooters are excluded from the EU regulation, so each country sets its own rules on speed, power, minimum age, helmets, insurance and registration. In most countries the limit is 20–25 km/h.
  • More powerful models: a scooter that exceeds your country’s limits may only be used on private or enclosed land.
