Electric scooter display – the right screen and electronics for your model

This is the electronics that sits between the handlebar and the motor: dashboards and displays, display covers, controllers and mainboards, plus cables, light modules and sensors. The parts are model-specific and available for Xiaomi, Ninebot, KuKirin, NIU, INOKIM, VSETT, ZERO, Dualtron, NAMI, TEVERUN and HX, among others. Start with the model name – it is stated in every product title.

In short

  • The range: a broad selection of parts – electric scooter display units, display covers, screen protectors, controllers, mainboards, power cables and lighting electronics.
  • Brands: Xiaomi, Ninebot, KuKirin, NIU, INOKIM, VSETT/ZERO, Dualtron, NAMI, TEVERUN and HX.
  • Choosing right: model and generation decide – a dashboard for the Xiaomi 4 Lite is not the same part as for the 4 Lite (2nd Gen).
  • Three different parts: the dashboard is the electronics, the display cover is the panel on top and the screen protector is a protective film.
  • Terms: free shipping on orders over €69.90 (otherwise €6.95), 14-day returns and a 2-year warranty in addition to your statutory rights.

Guide: choosing an electric scooter display, controller and mainboard

The display and the controller belong to the model – there is no universal screen that fits every scooter. This guide explains what the parts are called, how they work together and what to compare before you order. Other parts for the same vehicle are gathered in the spare parts portal.

Which electric scooter display fits your model?

Go by the full model name, including generation and suffixes such as Pro, Max or Lite. You will find it in the manual, on the box and on the rating plate of the vehicle. When a part fits several models they are all listed in the title, for example Ninebot F20/F25/F30/F40 or KuKirin G2 Pro/G2 Max. If your model is not listed, assume the part does not fit. Also compare the connector and cable in the pictures with your old part.

Dashboard, display cover and screen protector – what is what?

The dashboard is the display unit with its circuit board: it shows speed, battery level and riding mode. The display cover is the plastic panel that sits on top of the display in the handlebar – replace it when it is scratched or cracked, and the electronics underneath can stay. The screen protector is a film applied to an intact panel. More protective items are found under protection.

Controller and mainboard – the brain of the scooter

The controller, also called control unit or mainboard, receives the signals from throttle and brake and regulates the current to the motor. It is model-specific, sometimes down to the variant: the Ninebot E series alone has several different controllers. For Xiaomi there are mainboards in several versions, including reinforced ones. Dual-motor scooters have one controller per motor – for the NAMI Burn-E Max and Klima Max the front and rear controllers are sold separately. Riding a Xiaomi and the display shows an error code? Electric scooter display with throttle and NFC

On several high-performance models the display and the throttle form one unit. For VSETT and ZERO there are displays with throttle and NFC card, for INOKIM OX and OXO a display with thumb throttle, and for NAMI and TEVERUN separate TFT displays. In those cases you choose a complete unit rather than a screen alone.

Cables, light modules and sensors

The category also holds the surrounding electronics: main power cables for INOKIM OX and OXO, light circuit boards and a light control module for the KuKirin G2 series, an LED controller for the Dualtron Victor, a motor hall sensor for the Xiaomi 5 Plus and an NFC lock for NAMI. These parts rarely fail, but when they do only the correct model-specific part will replace them.

Replacing an electric scooter display – fitting and help

A display cover or screen protector takes a few minutes to change yourself. A dashboard or controller means opening the handlebar or the deck and moving connectors: switch the vehicle off, disconnect the battery if possible and photograph the wiring before you loosen anything. If in doubt, let a bicycle or scooter workshop do the job. If you cannot find the right part, customer service will help, and for a fault on a vehicle bought from us, see the page on warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Which electric scooter display fits my model?

The one with your model name in the product title. Displays are model-specific and generations differ too – the Xiaomi 4 Lite and the 4 Lite (2nd Gen) use different dashboards. When a part fits several models, all of them are listed in the title.

What is the difference between a dashboard and a display cover?

The dashboard is the display unit itself, with electronics. The display cover is the panel that covers it in the handlebar. If only the surface is scratched or cracked, a new cover is usually enough; if the display is black or does not respond, the dashboard may need replacing.

My electric scooter display is black – is it the display or the controller?

That cannot be determined without troubleshooting. A black display can be caused by the dashboard, the cable between display and controller, the controller or the power supply. Check connectors and cables first. If the vehicle was bought from us, contact customer service before ordering parts.

Can I replace an electric scooter display myself?

Display covers and screen protectors are easy to change. A dashboard can be replaced by anyone used to working with tools: switch off, remove the cover, move the connector and fit the new unit. Controllers and mainboards sit deeper in the vehicle and take more experience – use a workshop if you are unsure.

How do delivery and returns work for displays and electronics?

Free shipping on orders over €69.90 – otherwise €6.95. You have 14-day returns and a 2-year warranty, in addition to your statutory rights.
