Product description

RACCEWAY RC45 – powerful electric moped for comfortable city riding.

RACCEWAY RC45 is a modern electric moped that combines powerful performance, comfortable riding and practical features for everyday life. With a 1500W motor delivering up to 2500W peak power, a 72V 20Ah battery and a range of up to 59 km, the RC45 is well suited for commuting and daily trips. It has a top speed of 45 km/h, front and rear suspension, 10-inch pneumatic tyres and a comfortable saddle with room for two people. Remote-controlled alarm, keyless start, indicators and an electric horn make the model both practical and well equipped.

1500W motor with up to 2500W peak power.

RACCEWAY RC45 is powered by an electric motor with 1500W nominal power and up to 2500W maximum short-term power. The motor delivers smooth and responsive acceleration, while the electric drive offers a quieter riding experience with no local exhaust emissions.

The maximum speed is 45 km/h and the stated climbing ability is up to 15 degrees. The combination of a powerful motor and the 72V electrical system gives good performance for everyday commuting, city traffic and hilly roads.

Three riding modes for flexible riding.

RACCEWAY RC45 has three riding modes that let you adapt motor response and riding performance to different situations.

The different power modes provide flexibility for calmer city riding, regular commuting and stretches where more motor power is needed. This makes the moped practical for both shorter trips and longer rides.

72V 20Ah battery with up to 59 km range.

The RC45 is equipped with a 72V 20Ah lead battery with an energy capacity of 1440 Wh. The maximum stated range is up to approximately 59 km per charge, which provides good capacity for daily commuting and trips within the city.

The actual range is affected by the rider's weight, speed, temperature, terrain and riding conditions. The battery is permanently fitted and not removable, which means the moped needs to be parked near a power outlet when charging.

A full charge takes approximately 6–8 hours, which makes it convenient to charge the moped overnight for the next day's ride.

Front and rear suspension for better riding comfort.

RACCEWAY RC45 has both front and rear suspension that helps absorb vibrations and shocks from uneven roads.

The front suspension contributes to stable steering, while the rear shock absorbers provide extra comfort while riding. Together with the comfortable saddle, the suspension system gives a smoother ride on asphalt, cobblestones and minor bumps.

10-inch pneumatic tyres and a reliable braking system.

The RC45 is equipped with 10-inch air-filled tyres at both the front and rear. The tyres provide a good combination of grip, stability and rolling comfort for regular city riding.

The braking system consists of a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. The combination gives controlled braking power and makes it easier to manage speed when braking in city traffic and on varied road surfaces.

LED lighting, indicators and electric horn.

RACCEWAY RC45 has front lighting and a rear light that contribute to good visibility when riding in darker conditions.

The moped is also equipped with indicators to signal direction and an electric horn to alert other road users. Together with the two rear-view mirrors, the equipment provides good conditions for a safe and controlled riding experience.

Remote-controlled alarm, keyless start and steering lock.

RACCEWAY RC45 has a built-in anti-theft alarm that can be controlled with the included remote control. The moped also supports keyless start, which makes it easy to use on daily trips.

The integrated steering lock provides additional security when the moped is parked. The combination of remote alarm, steering lock and keyless start makes the RC45 a practical choice for everyday use.

Comfortable two-seat design with practical storage.

The RC45 has a spacious, padded saddle with room for two people. The saddle height is approximately 75 cm and the open footboard provides a comfortable seating position for both shorter and longer trips.

Under the handlebars there are two small storage compartments for personal belongings such as keys and other small items. The moped also has a practical centre stand that makes parking easier.

The modern body design with clear lines and sporty details gives the RC45 a stylish look that suits both urban environments and daily commuting.

Robust construction with up to 150 kg load capacity.

RACCEWAY RC45 has a sturdy construction with a maximum load of 150 kg. The moped is designed for two people and offers good comfort even with daily use.

The dimensions are approximately 1900 x 700 x 1125 mm and the net weight is approximately 104 kg. The well-balanced construction, together with the suspension and the air-filled tyres, contributes to stable and comfortable riding.

Class I moped with 45 km/h top speed.

RACCEWAY RC45 has a design top speed of 45 km/h and is intended as a class I moped. To ride a registered class I moped in Sweden, an AM driving licence or other valid driving licence category is normally required. An AM licence can be obtained from age 15.

The moped must be approved and registered for use on public roads and have a registration plate and traffic insurance. A helmet is mandatory and passengers may be carried if the vehicle is registered for this.

Laws & rules

EU-wide rules
  • Electric bikes: under Regulation (EU) 168/2013 a pedal-assisted bike with a motor of max 250 W that cuts out at 25 km/h is a bicycle in every EU country – no registration, licence or insurance. Anything more powerful or faster is a moped (L1e) with type approval, registration, licence, insurance and helmet requirements.
  • Electric scooters: e-scooters are excluded from the EU regulation, so each country sets its own rules on speed, power, minimum age, helmets, insurance and registration. In most countries the limit is 20–25 km/h.
  • More powerful models: a scooter that exceeds your country’s limits may only be used on private or enclosed land.
