Product description

KOOLUX X12 – folding electric bike with a 48 V battery and smart functions.

KOOLUX X12 is a versatile, well-equipped electric bike for riders who want to combine comfortable everyday riding with a practical folding format. The model has a 250 W brushless motor, a large removable 48 V 13 Ah lithium-ion battery and a top speed of up to 25 km/h. It is therefore well suited to commuting, leisure and longer rides where you want electric assistance without giving up the feel of a traditional bike.

The range is up to around 60 km depending on riding style and conditions, while Pure Electric mode provides around 40 km. KOOLUX X12 also combines an aluminium structure, 20 × 4.0-inch air-filled tyres, front suspension, 7 gears, hydraulic disc brakes, NFC, app connectivity, an adjustable handlebar and a folding frame.

250 W brushless motor with up to 65 Nm of torque.

KOOLUX X12 is powered by a 48 V high-speed brushless geared motor. The motor's nominal and maximum output is 250 W, providing a balanced combination of efficiency and electric assistance for everyday cycling.

The motor delivers a stated torque of around 60–65 Nm and the model has a climbing ability of up to around 25°. This gives extra help when accelerating and on hills, while the top speed is limited to 25 km/h.

Up to 60 km range for everyday use and longer rides.

KOOLUX X12 has a stated range of up to around 60 km in favourable conditions. This makes the model suitable both for everyday commuting and for longer leisure rides where you want to reduce the need to charge the battery after every shorter trip.

Actual range is affected by, among other things, rider weight, the assistance level selected, temperature, terrain, tyre pressure and riding style. With a higher load or on hillier terrain, the range may therefore be shorter.

Around 40 km in Pure Electric mode.

KOOLUX X12 also offers Pure Electric mode, with a stated range of around 40 km in suitable conditions.

This lets you adapt how much you pedal during the ride and makes the model flexible for different types of riding. Three riding modes make it easier to choose between different levels of electric assistance depending on the situation.

48 V 13 Ah battery with 624 Wh capacity.

The battery is a 48 V 13 Ah lithium-ion battery with 18650 cells and an energy capacity of around 624 Wh. It provides plenty of energy for both everyday commuting and longer rides.

The battery is removable, so it can be taken off the bike and charged separately. Charging time is around 7–8 hours and the charger has an output of 54.6 V 2 A.

Aluminium structure for a modern electric bike.

KOOLUX X12 has an aluminium structure. The material contributes to a modern, robust overall package while retaining the model's practical folding format.

Unfolded, the bike measures around 1780 × 590 × 1350 mm. The net weight is 32.4 kg and the maximum recommended rider weight is 120 kg.

20 × 4.0-inch air-filled tyres.

KOOLUX X12 uses 20 × 4.0-inch pneumatic tyres. The wider tyre profile gives a larger contact area with the surface and contributes to a stable, comfortable ride feel.

Air-filled tyres also help absorb smaller unevenness from the road surface. The combination of 20-inch wheels and a wide 4.0-inch profile is well suited to riders who want a steadier feel than from a traditional narrow-tyred city bike.

Front suspension for more comfortable riding.

KOOLUX X12 is equipped with a shock-absorbing front fork. The front suspension helps absorb vibrations and impacts from uneven tarmac, gravel and other minor unevenness.

The suspension works together with the wide air-filled tyres to create a smoother, more comfortable riding experience on both shorter and longer journeys.

7 gears for varied terrain.

The bike has a 7-speed transmission, making it easier to adapt pedalling resistance to speed and terrain.

Lighter gears are better suited to hills, while heavier gears can give a more natural pedalling feel on flat stretches. The combination of mechanical gears and electric motor assistance provides greater flexibility while riding.

Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear.

KOOLUX X12 is equipped with two hydraulic disc brakes, one at the front and one at the rear. This provides braking force on both wheels and contributes to more controlled, easily modulated braking.

Hydraulic brakes require relatively little force at the brake levers and are well suited to an electric bike used both in urban environments and on more varied routes.

Multifunctional LED display for clear information.

On the handlebars is a multifunctional LED display showing important information while riding. It makes it easier to follow the bike's status directly from the riding position and provides a more modern user experience.

The display complements the smart functions of KOOLUX X12 and works together with the app connectivity for a more digital riding experience.

NFC and app connectivity for smarter use.

KOOLUX X12 has NFC technology, providing a convenient solution for activating the bike.

The model also has app connectivity, allowing a compatible smartphone to be connected to the bike and digital functions linked to the model to be used.

Lighting, indicators and an electric horn.

KOOLUX X12 has front and rear lighting for better visibility in darker conditions. The model also has indicators, making it easier to signal changes of direction.

An electric horn is also included in the equipment. The combination of lighting, indicators and horn makes KOOLUX X12 well equipped for everyday use.

Adjustable handlebar and folding structure.

The handlebar is adjustable, making it easier to adapt the riding position to the user's height and preferences. The recommended rider height is around 160–180 cm.

The folding structure also makes the bike easier to store at home, at the workplace or during transport. This is particularly practical if you want a fully equipped electric bike but also need to be able to reduce its size when it is not in use.

IP54 for everyday use.

KOOLUX X12 has an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and water splashes during normal use.

The bike should nevertheless not be submerged in water or exposed to direct high-pressure washing. The battery, charging port and electrical connections should always be handled carefully in wet environments.

Complete package from the start.

The package includes the KOOLUX X12, charger, tool kit, pump, keys, user manual and lock. This means you receive the central accessories for assembly, charging and daily use together with the bike.

Choose KOOLUX X12 for comfort, range and smart functionality.

KOOLUX X12 combines a 250 W brushless motor with around 60–65 Nm of torque, a removable 48 V 13 Ah battery of around 624 Wh and a range of up to around 60 km. In Pure Electric mode, the stated range is around 40 km.

With 20 × 4.0-inch air-filled tyres, front suspension, 7 gears, hydraulic disc brakes, a multifunctional LED display, NFC, app connectivity, an adjustable handlebar and a folding aluminium structure, you get a well-equipped electric bike for both everyday use and leisure. Laws & rules

EU-wide rules
  • Electric bikes: under Regulation (EU) 168/2013 a pedal-assisted bike with a motor of max 250 W that cuts out at 25 km/h is a bicycle in every EU country – no registration, licence or insurance. Anything more powerful or faster is a moped (L1e) with type approval, registration, licence, insurance and helmet requirements.
  • Electric scooters: e-scooters are excluded from the EU regulation, so each country sets its own rules on speed, power, minimum age, helmets, insurance and registration. In most countries the limit is 20–25 km/h.
  • More powerful models: a scooter that exceeds your country’s limits may only be used on private or enclosed land.
