The HOVSCO HovBeta uses a brushless rear hub motor with 250W of nominal power and up to 1300W of peak power. The 90 Nm of torque gives clear assistance when setting off, on hills and when riding on heavier surfaces. The electric bike handles gradients of up to 30 degrees and has a technical top speed of 45 km/h where such use is permitted. The speed can be limited to 25 km/h for adapted riding. The combination of high torque and rear-wheel drive gives a responsive feel both in the city and on more demanding stretches.

48V 15Ah battery with up to 40 km of range.

The removable 48V 15Ah battery gives the HOVSCO HovBeta good capacity for everyday journeys and longer leisure rides. The range is up to 40 km according to the stated product specification and is affected by factors such as assistance level, speed, rider weight, temperature, tyre pressure and surface. The battery can be removed from the frame, which makes it easier to charge at home or at work. A full charge takes around 7 hours with the included charger.

Four riding modes for a more flexible electric bike.

The HOVSCO HovBeta has four riding modes that let you adapt the motor assistance to the journey. A gentler mode is ideal when you want to prioritise control and battery life, while higher assistance gives more support on hills and longer distances. The electric bike also has a torque sensor that responds to how much force you apply to the pedals. This creates a more natural transition between your own pedalling and electric assistance and makes the ride smooth at varying paces.

20 x 4-inch fat tyres for grip and stability.

The wide 20 x 4-inch pneumatic off-road tyres give the HOVSCO HovBeta a stable contact patch with the ground. The larger tyre volume helps to absorb minor bumps and provides better grip on tarmac, gravel, sand and other varied surfaces. Fat tyres are particularly well suited to anyone who wants an electric bike that feels stable even when the road gets rougher. Front suspension with lockout.

The HOVSCO HovBeta has a front suspension fork with 45 mm of travel. It helps to absorb vibrations and impacts from uneven tarmac, gravel and small potholes. The lockout function lets you lock the suspension when you ride on smoother roads and want a firmer, more efficient feel. This gives a practical balance between comfort on uneven surfaces and efficiency on flat stretches.

Hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors.

Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear give the HOVSCO HovBeta strong and even braking power. The 180 mm rotors provide good control in everyday city riding, on descents and during quicker stops. Hydraulic brakes require less hand force than many mechanical alternatives and give a more direct feel in the levers. This is particularly well matched to the strong motor and the wide tyres.

Folding construction for easier transport.

One of the HOVSCO HovBeta's great practical advantages is its folding frame. The construction makes the bike easier to store at home, in the car or in other spaces where a full-size electric bike takes up a lot of room. The quick fold is ideal when you combine the electric bike with a car, train or other transport. The frame is built from 6061 aluminium and the model weighs around 30.3 kg, giving a robust construction while the format stays flexible.

Shimano 7-speed gearing and a clear LCD display.

The 7-speed Shimano system helps you adapt pedalling resistance to the terrain and speed. Lighter gears suit uphill sections, while heavier gears work better on flat stretches. The backlit LCD display shows key riding information such as speed, battery level and assistance data. The HOVSCO app also lets you follow riding data and journeys directly on your phone.

LED lighting and a comfortable riding position.

The HOVSCO HovBeta has LED lighting front and rear for better visibility in darker conditions. The ergonomic saddle, low step-through frame and upright riding position are designed to give a comfortable feel on both shorter and longer journeys. The recommended rider height is around 150–190 cm and the maximum recommended load is 204 kg. The IPX4 rating protects against water splashes, but the electric bike should not be regarded as fully waterproof.

Check the rules before riding within the EU.

The HOVSCO HovBeta has a higher maximum motor power and technical top speed than what normally applies to a standard-class electric bike within the EU. A speed limit of 25 km/h does not automatically mean that the model meets all the requirements for standard electric bike classification. Rules on registration, insurance, licensing and use on public roads vary between EU countries. Always check local rules before riding.

Home delivery or pickup point

• Electric scooters and e-bikes: always delivered to your door, free of charge.
• On delivery day: you are responsible for being available at the given address – the carrier will usually contact you in advance to arrange a time.
• Pickup point instead: contact the carrier directly to change the delivery method.
• Smaller parcels: if the parcel does not fit in your letterbox, you will receive a notification about collection or a new delivery attempt.

Warranty period

• 2-year warranty: applies to all products – electric vehicles, accessories and spare parts – in addition to your statutory rights.
• No exceptions: no shorter warranty periods for individual components.

EU-wide rules

• Electric bikes: under Regulation (EU) 168/2013 a pedal-assisted bike with a motor of max 250 W that cuts out at 25 km/h is a bicycle in every EU country – no registration, licence or insurance. Anything more powerful or faster is a moped (L1e) with type approval, registration, licence, insurance and helmet requirements.
• Electric scooters: e-scooters are excluded from the EU regulation, so each country sets its own rules on speed, power, minimum age, helmets, insurance and registration. In most countries the limit is 20–25 km/h.
• More powerful models: a scooter that exceeds your country’s limits may only be used on private or enclosed land.
