Product description

DYU UX BMX – versatile electric bike with up to 100 km range.

The DYU UX BMX is a compact and powerful electric bike for riders who want to combine everyday commuting with longer leisure rides. It is powered by a 250 W motor with up to 500 W peak power and reaches a top speed of 25 km/h. The removable 48 V 13 Ah battery gives a stated range of up to approximately 100 km depending on riding mode and conditions.

With three ways to ride – Pure Electric, Pedal Assist and conventional pedalling – the DYU UX BMX adapts to both the distance and the situation. The wide 20-inch pneumatic tyres, dual disc brakes and front and rear lights make it well equipped for daily journeys and more varied riding.

250 W motor with up to 500 W peak power.

The DYU UX BMX is fitted with a high-speed motor that delivers 250 W rated power and up to 500 W peak power. This provides electric assistance for acceleration, everyday riding and more demanding stretches of road.

The maximum speed is 25 km/h and the stated climbing ability is approximately 15°, so the DYU UX BMX remains useful when your route includes inclines. Actual performance naturally depends on rider weight, battery level, surface and other riding conditions.

Up to 100 km range.

One of the most notable features of the DYU UX BMX is its stated range of up to approximately 100 km in favourable conditions. This gives you plenty of flexibility whether you use the e-bike for commuting, everyday errands or longer rides.

Actual range varies with riding mode, terrain, temperature, rider weight, speed and motor load. A more energy-efficient riding style with pedal assistance can therefore give a longer range than continuous electric propulsion.

Approximately 50–65 km in Pure Electric mode.

When the DYU UX BMX is used in Pure Electric mode, the stated range is approximately 50–65 km in suitable conditions. This lets the motor do the work when you want to reduce your own effort.

For longer rides you can use pedal assistance instead and combine your own pedalling with the motor. This helps you make better use of the battery's energy and makes the DYU UX BMX more flexible over longer distances.

Three riding modes for flexible use.

The DYU UX BMX can be used in Pure Electric mode, Pedal Assist mode or as a conventional bike with manual pedalling. This gives you the freedom to choose how much electric help you want on each part of your journey.

Pure Electric suits you when you want more electric propulsion, while Pedal Assist combines motor support with pedalling. When you want to ride entirely under your own power, you can use the DYU UX BMX as an ordinary pedal bike.

Removable 48 V 13 Ah battery.

The DYU UX BMX uses a 48 V 13 Ah battery that can be removed from the frame. This makes charging much more flexible, as the battery can be taken indoors and charged separately instead of the whole bike having to stand next to a socket.

Charging time is approximately 6 hours. The combination of the 48 V system and the battery capacity provides the energy reserve needed for both Pure Electric riding and longer assisted distances.

Wide 20 × 4.0-inch pneumatic tyres.

The DYU UX BMX is fitted with wide 20 × 4.0-inch pneumatic tyres. The larger tyre volume gives a stable feel and helps absorb minor bumps in the surface.

The tyres have a coarser tread that suits varied surfaces and contributes to better contact with the ground. The combination of 20-inch wheels and wide tyres gives the DYU UX BMX a distinctive BMX- and fatbike-inspired character.

Dual disc brakes for better control.

Separate disc brakes at the front and rear provide braking power on both wheels. This helps the rider control speed during everyday riding and in more varied road conditions.

The braking system complements the electric drive and the wide tyres, creating a well-balanced package for an e-bike with a top speed of 25 km/h.

LCD display with clear riding information.

The DYU UX BMX has an upgraded LCD display mounted on the handlebars. The display lets you follow important information while riding without having to stop.

The clear digital readout complements the e-bike's electrical system and makes it easier to keep track of speed, battery status and other relevant riding information during your journey.

Front and rear lights.

The DYU UX BMX has lights at both the front and rear. The headlight helps illuminate the road when light conditions deteriorate, while the rear light improves visibility from behind.

The lights make the DYU UX BMX more practical in the early morning, late afternoon or other situations where natural light is weaker.

IP54 for everyday use.

The DYU UX BMX has an IP54 rating, which provides protection against dust and water splashes during normal use.

However, this does not mean the bike is intended to be submerged in water or cleaned with a powerful pressure washer. The battery, charging port and other electrical components should always be handled with care in wet conditions.

Low weight and capacity up to 120 kg.

The DYU UX BMX has a net weight of approximately 26 kg, which makes it relatively manageable for an e-bike with a 48 V 13 Ah battery and wide tyres.

The maximum recommended rider weight is 120 kg and the recommended rider height is approximately 165–188 cm, making the DYU UX BMX suitable for a wide range of adult riders.

Complete package from the start.

The package includes the DYU UX BMX, battery, charger, user manual, pedals and tool kit. You therefore get the most important parts for assembly, charging and use together with the bike.

Choose the DYU UX BMX for range and flexible riding.

The DYU UX BMX combines a 250 W motor with up to 500 W peak power, a removable 48 V 13 Ah battery and a top speed of 25 km/h. Range is up to approximately 100 km depending on riding mode, while Pure Electric mode gives around 50–65 km in favourable conditions.

With Pure Electric, Pedal Assist and conventional pedalling, wide 20 × 4.0-inch pneumatic tyres, dual disc brakes, an LCD display and front and rear lights, you get a flexible e-bike for everyday use and leisure. Order the DYU UX BMX from Wheelyshop and choose an e-bike that combines long range with a robust, compact format.

Laws & rules

EU-wide rules
  • Electric bikes: under Regulation (EU) 168/2013 a pedal-assisted bike with a motor of max 250 W that cuts out at 25 km/h is a bicycle in every EU country – no registration, licence or insurance. Anything more powerful or faster is a moped (L1e) with type approval, registration, licence, insurance and helmet requirements.
  • Electric scooters: e-scooters are excluded from the EU regulation, so each country sets its own rules on speed, power, minimum age, helmets, insurance and registration. In most countries the limit is 20–25 km/h.
  • More powerful models: a scooter that exceeds your country’s limits may only be used on private or enclosed land.
