Product description

RATTAN LM Ultra electric bike with exceptional range and strong pulling power.

The RATTAN LM Ultra is a powerful electric bike for anyone who prioritises long range, high load capacity and comfort on both tarmac and more varied surfaces. The brushless motor delivers 1000W of nominal power and up to 1800W of maximum power, together with a full 120 Nm of torque. The large removable 48V 40.5Ah battery provides up to 200 km of range with assistance. With 20 × 4.0-inch off-road tyres, hydraulic disc brakes, front suspension and a folding design, the RATTAN LM Ultra is built for longer everyday journeys and more demanding rides.

1000W motor with up to 1800W of maximum power.

The RATTAN LM Ultra combines 1000W of nominal motor power with up to 1800W of maximum power. Its 120 Nm of torque provides a strong response when setting off and plenty of power when the road starts to climb. The electric bike can handle inclines of up to 30 degrees under suitable conditions, and its technical top speed reaches up to 51 km/h where such riding is permitted. The powerful motor is particularly useful for heavier loads, longer distances and hilly terrain where extra motor power makes a clear difference.

48V 40.5Ah battery with up to 200 km of range.

The large 48V 40.5Ah battery has a capacity of around 1944Wh and gives the RATTAN LM Ultra a very long range. With pedal assist, the range can reach up to 200 km, while riding on electric power alone can provide around 130 km under favourable conditions. The battery is removable and can therefore be charged separately from the bike. A full charge takes around 7–8 hours. Actual range depends on speed, rider weight, temperature, terrain, assistance level and tyre pressure.

Two riding modes for flexible use.

The RATTAN LM Ultra has two riding modes that let you adapt your ride to the situation and your preferred energy consumption. You can choose a mode where the motor helps as you pedal, or use electric power when you want more motor assistance. For longer journeys, a more energy-efficient riding style can help you make the most of the large battery, while a higher motor load is useful when the terrain becomes more demanding.

Front suspension for greater comfort.

The front suspension helps absorb shocks and vibrations from uneven tarmac, gravel and small potholes. This gives a smoother feel through the handlebars and reduces strain on your arms and upper body during longer rides. The combination of front suspension and wide fat bike tyres makes the RATTAN LM Ultra better suited to varied road surfaces than a traditional city bike with narrow tyres.

20 × 4.0-inch off-road tyres for better grip.

The wide 20 × 4.0-inch CST pneumatic tyres provide a large contact patch with the ground and contribute to stability on tarmac, gravel and looser surfaces. The tyres are designed with improved puncture resistance and also help absorb minor irregularities in the road. Their wide profile provides extra grip when the surface changes and is ideal when you want to use the same electric bike both in the city and on rougher routes.

Hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors.

The RATTAN LM Ultra is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. The large 180 mm rotors provide strong, controllable stopping power, which is particularly important on an electric bike with high power and a maximum load capacity of 180 kg. The hydraulics give a light, consistent braking feel and make it easier to modulate braking force on descents, in busy traffic or on wet surfaces.

Shimano 7-speed gearing for efficient pedalling.

The 7-speed Shimano system lets you adapt pedalling resistance to your speed and the terrain. A lower gear is useful on climbs and when setting off, while higher gears make it easier to maintain an efficient pace on flat roads. The combination of mechanical gears and strong electric assistance gives the RATTAN LM Ultra flexibility for everyday commuting and longer leisure rides.

Colour display, cruise control and adjustable handlebars.

The multifunction display shows information including battery level, speed, assistance and distance directly in front of the rider. The RATTAN LM Ultra also has cruise control for smoother riding on longer, straight stretches. The handlebar height can be adjusted for a more comfortable riding position, and the recommended rider height is around 160–193 cm. The combination of display, adjustable handlebars and a comfortable seat makes the model easier to adapt to different riders.

Folding design for easier storage.

Despite its large battery and robust construction, the RATTAN LM Ultra is foldable. The bike can be folded to take up less space during transport or storage. Its dimensions when ready to ride are around 1760 × 660 × 1190–1320 mm, and its net weight is 38 kg. The construction supports a maximum recommended load of 180 kg and combines a stable aluminium frame with a format that can still be made more compact when the bike is not in use.

Front and rear lighting and IP67 protection.

The RATTAN LM Ultra has lighting both front and rear for better visibility in darker conditions. The IP67 rating provides a high level of protection against dust and water, making the model better equipped for changing weather. Full mudguards also help reduce spray from the wheels. The electric bike should still be treated as an electrical product and should not be subjected to unnecessary immersion or prolonged exposure to water.

Rear seat, backrest and footrests for practical everyday use.

The package includes the RATTAN LM Ultra, battery, charger, pedals, mudguards, front light, rear light, bell, rear footrests, rear seat and backrest. The extra equipment makes the model practical when you want more functionality from the start. Always check local rules and the maximum permitted load before using the rear seat for an additional person.

Choose the RATTAN LM Ultra for maximum range and power.

The RATTAN LM Ultra combines 1000W of nominal power, up to 1800W of maximum power and 120 Nm of torque with a substantial 48V 40.5Ah battery and up to 200 km of range. Hydraulic disc brakes, 20 × 4.0-inch off-road tyres, front suspension, Shimano 7-speed gearing, cruise control and a folding design complete the package. Order the RATTAN LM Ultra from Wheelyshop and choose a powerful electric bike for long distances, high load capacity and flexible everyday use.

Laws & rules

EU-wide rules
  • Electric bikes: under Regulation (EU) 168/2013 a pedal-assisted bike with a motor of max 250 W that cuts out at 25 km/h is a bicycle in every EU country – no registration, licence or insurance. Anything more powerful or faster is a moped (L1e) with type approval, registration, licence, insurance and helmet requirements.
  • Electric scooters: e-scooters are excluded from the EU regulation, so each country sets its own rules on speed, power, minimum age, helmets, insurance and registration. In most countries the limit is 20–25 km/h.
  • More powerful models: a scooter that exceeds your country’s limits may only be used on private or enclosed land.
