Product description

ENGWE EP-2 Pro – fast and comfortable electric bike for your adventures.

The ENGWE EP-2 Pro is a powerful electric bike for those who want to combine speed, range and comfort in a robust and versatile format. With a 750W motor, speeds of up to 40 km/h, up to 120 km range in hybrid mode and 20x4.0-inch fat bike tyres, it is built to ride with confidence on tarmac as well as more varied terrain. It combines dual disc brakes, front suspension, 7-speed Shimano gearing, a removable 48V 13Ah battery, an LCD display and a foldable design that makes it practical for everyday use.

750W motor for rapid acceleration.

The ENGWE EP-2 Pro is fitted with a 750W motor with a peak output of 800W. This delivers agile acceleration and stable traction both from a standing start and on hills and more demanding surfaces. The top speed with the factory speed limiter active is 25 km/h. If you want to reach up to 40 km/h, you can remove the speed limiter by following these video instructions. The climbing ability is up to 10°, making the bike suitable for typical urban inclines and paths with some elevation change.

Up to 120 km range with the 48V 13Ah battery.

The removable 48V 13Ah battery gives a range of up to 40 km in pure electric mode and up to 120 km in hybrid mode with pedal assistance. You can charge the battery directly on the bike or remove it to charge at home or at the office. Charging time is approximately 6–7 hours. This combination of long range and a removable battery makes the ENGWE EP-2 Pro particularly practical for daily commuting and longer rides.

Four riding modes for different situations.

The ENGWE EP-2 Pro offers four riding modes that make it easy to adapt the bike to the situation. Pure electric mode gives you full motor power without pedalling. Pedal assistance mode combines the motor with pedalling for greater range. Shimano mode lets you use the 7 gears to adjust pedalling resistance to the gradient and terrain. In pure cycling mode you can pedal without any electric assistance, just like a conventional bike. You can select whichever mode best suits your situation from the LCD display on the handlebars.

20x4.0-inch fat bike tyres for greater stability.

The wide 20x4.0-inch CST pneumatic tyres provide good grip and a smoother ride on tarmac, gravel and more uneven terrain. The large air volume cushions impacts and reduces vibrations, making longer rides more comfortable. The tyres also contribute to greater stability in corners and on more varied stretches where narrower wheels can be less controllable.

Front suspension and disc brakes for safe riding.

The ENGWE EP-2 Pro has front suspension that helps absorb shocks from potholes, cracks and uneven tarmac. Together with the dual disc brakes you get powerful and controlled braking in all weather conditions. Disc brakes offer better performance than rim brakes on wet surfaces and are easier to adjust and maintain over time. The combination of suspension and disc brakes makes everyday riding in urban environments safer and more comfortable.

LCD display, 7-speed gearing and adjustable handlebars.

The LCD display on the handlebars shows speed, battery level, riding mode, distance and other useful information while riding. The 7-speed Shimano gearing lets you adapt pedalling resistance to the terrain, gradient and your fitness level. The handlebars are height-adjustable so you can find a comfortable riding position. The ignition key provides simple and secure starting, and the built-in cycle computer makes it easy to track your rides.

Foldable design and removable battery.

The ENGWE EP-2 Pro folds for easier storage and transport. The compact folded footprint makes it practical to store in the car, at home or at the office. The battery is removable, which means you can carry it with you and charge it without having to plug in the whole bike. With a net weight of 30 kg and a recommended maximum load of 150 kg, the bike is built to be robust and stable.

Lighting, mudguards and rear rack included.

The ENGWE EP-2 Pro is fitted with front and rear lighting for better visibility during night riding or in low-light conditions. The package includes front and rear mudguards to protect you from spray, along with a rear rack for carrying smaller items. The motor produces 55Nm of torque, which provides good traction especially when setting off and climbing. The IP54 rating gives protection against dust and water splashes in everyday use.

A complete choice for commuting and leisure.

The ENGWE EP-2 Pro is ideal for those who want to buy an electric bike with long range, a powerful motor and a wide range of riding options. You get a 750W motor, up to 120 km range, a removable 48V 13Ah battery, 20x4.0-inch fat bike tyres, front suspension, dual disc brakes, 7-speed Shimano gearing, four riding modes, an LCD display, front and rear lighting, adjustable handlebars, an ignition key, 55Nm of torque, IP54 rating and a foldable design. Available in black, grey and orange. Order the ENGWE EP-2 Pro from Wheelyshop and choose an electric bike that combines performance, comfort and everyday practicality.

Laws & rules

Electric scooters (e-scooters)
Rules for e-scooters are not fully harmonised across the EU – each member state sets its own requirements. In most EU countries, e-scooters are limited to a top speed of 20–25 km/h for use on public roads, and some countries also require type approval, insurance or a minimum age. Models that exceed the national limits – for example with higher top speeds or stronger motors – may generally only be used on private property. Always check the current rules with the national transport authority in your country before riding on public roads.

Electric bikes (pedelecs)
Across the EU, an electric bike is treated as a regular bicycle if the motor has a maximum continuous rated power of 250 W, only assists while you pedal, and cuts out at 25 km/h (EU Regulation 168/2013 and EN 15194). Such pedelecs require no registration, licence or insurance. The motor may temporarily deliver a higher peak output, as long as the continuous rated power does not exceed 250 W.

Faster or more powerful models (such as speed pedelecs with assistance up to 45 km/h) are classified as mopeds (category L1e-B) and are subject to type approval, registration, insurance, helmet and licence requirements that vary by country. Models that do not meet these requirements may only be used on private property.

We strongly recommend wearing a helmet, even where it is not mandatory.
