Product description

VIPCOO R1 – an electric trike with reverse assistance.

The VIPCOO R1 combines three wheels, a 750W motor and dual batteries in an electric trike for everyday journeys, errands and practical transport. Its substantial construction and useful equipment offer an alternative to a conventional two-wheeled electric bike.

750W motor with 85 Nm of torque.

The brushless motor delivers 750W nominal power and 1050W peak power. Torque is 85 Nm and the stated climbing ability is 20°. These specifications provide motor assistance when starting, riding with a load or tackling hills.

Choose between fully electric riding, pedal assistance and manual pedalling. Five gears allow you to adjust your pedalling effort to the route. The top speed is 40 km/h, and a 25 km/h speed setting is available. A speed limit alone does not establish that a vehicle is approved for public-road use.

Reverse assistance for easier manoeuvring.

A dedicated handlebar control lets you select forward or reverse movement. Reverse assistance is useful when parking, turning in limited space or manoeuvring the trike with a load.

The trike weighs 91 kg and has a stated maximum load of 200 kg. Reverse assistance can therefore make everyday handling easier, reducing the need to get off and push it backwards by hand.

Dual removable batteries: 48V 40Ah.

The VIPCOO R1 has two removable 48V 20Ah batteries, giving a total capacity of 40Ah. The stated range without pedalling is approximately 90–100 km. With pedal assistance and no throttle input, the supplier-confirmed range is approximately 135–150 km under normal conditions.

The batteries can be removed and charged separately. Dual charging ports provide flexibility, and a full charge takes approximately 8–9 hours.

A stable three-wheel layout.

The three-wheel layout provides support when stationary and at low speed. It can suit riders who prefer a trike or need to carry goods. As with any trike, take care when cornering and adjust your speed to the load and conditions.

Wide 20-inch pneumatic off-road tyres provide contact with tarmac and gravel. The frame and differential are designed to support controlled handling. They do not remove the need for careful cornering.

Hydraulic disc brakes and lighting.

Three hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled braking, including when carrying a load. Front and rear LED lights and integrated indicators help other road users see you and understand your intentions. An electric horn lets you alert people nearby.

The IP54 rating provides protection against dust and splashing water. Store the trike under cover and avoid immersion or high-pressure washing.

Comfort and clear controls.

The adjustable front suspension helps absorb uneven surfaces. The saddle supports a comfortable riding position, and the recommended rider height is 160–200 cm.

The LCD display shows speed, battery level, riding mode and other essential information. This keeps the main riding information within view on the handlebar.

Practical transport for everyday life.

The overall dimensions are 2250 × 620 × 1310 mm. With a stated maximum load of 200 kg, the VIPCOO R1 offers space for shopping, deliveries or equipment. Check the load limits of individual racks as well as the overall vehicle limit.

The package includes a charger, tool kit, front and rear mudguards and keys.

Laws & rules

EU-wide rules
  • Electric bikes: under Regulation (EU) 168/2013 a pedal-assisted bike with a motor of max 250 W that cuts out at 25 km/h is a bicycle in every EU country – no registration, licence or insurance. Anything more powerful or faster is a moped (L1e) with type approval, registration, licence, insurance and helmet requirements.
  • Electric scooters: e-scooters are excluded from the EU regulation, so each country sets its own rules on speed, power, minimum age, helmets, insurance and registration. In most countries the limit is 20–25 km/h.
  • More powerful models: a scooter that exceeds your country’s limits may only be used on private or enclosed land.
