Product description

BMW i8 Coupé – sporty kids' electric car with remote control.

The BMW i8 Coupé is a kids' electric car that combines futuristic sports-car design with easy-to-use electric driving. The model is recommended for children aged 3 to 8 and has a speed of around 3–7 km/h. With two 35 W motors, two speed modes and an included remote control, your child gets an exciting first driving experience, while an adult can help with control when needed.

The elegant bodywork, sporty lines and opening doors take their inspiration from the BMW i8 Coupé. The result is a modern-looking kids' car that gives little BMW fans the feeling of having their own sports car.

Two 35 W motors with 70 W in total.

The BMW i8 Coupé is powered by two 35 W motors, giving a combined motor output of 70 W. The twin motors give the car power for everyday drives and make the model suitable for play on flat, suitable surfaces such as the garden or driveway.

The speed is around 3–7 km/h. Your child can start calmly and then use the higher speed once driving feels more familiar. The combination of two motors and adjustable speed makes the car both fun and easy to get to know.

Two speed modes for flexible driving.

The BMW i8 Coupé offers both a high-speed and a low-speed mode. The two speed modes let you adapt the driving to your child's experience and the situation.

The lower mode suits children who are just learning how to steer the car, while the higher mode gives more speed once they are more confident. With an overall speed of around 3–7 km/h, your child gets a varied driving experience without the model becoming unnecessarily fast.

Remote control for extra control.

A 2.4 GHz remote control is included with the BMW i8 Coupé. It lets an adult help control the car while your child is still learning how steering and driving work.

At the same time, your child can drive on their own using the steering wheel and foot pedal. The combination of independent driving and remote control makes the model flexible for different experience levels and lets parents take a more active part in playtime.

12 V 4.5 Ah battery for electric driving fun.

The electric car is fitted with a 12 V 4.5 Ah battery that powers the two 35 W motors and the car's electrical features. The battery can be charged directly in the car, making charging easy after a day of use.

The stated charging time is around 8–12 hours, so the car can be plugged in after playtime and charged for next time. For the best battery care, always charge according to the instructions in the included user manual.

Puncture-proof solid tyres.

The BMW i8 Coupé is fitted with solid tyres that never need pumping up. The tyres are puncture-proof, which reduces maintenance and means ordinary punctures won't interrupt your child's driving.

The stylish wheels are also an important part of the car's sporty look. Together with the low body and characteristic lines, they add to the feeling of a little BMW i8 Coupé.

Front and rear lights for a realistic experience.

The BMW i8 Coupé has lights at both the front and rear. The LED lighting adds to the car's modern look and makes the driving experience more realistic for your child.

The distinctive light details combine with the aerodynamic design and opening doors. This makes the model more than just an electric ride-on, offering a more engaging sports-car feel during play.

USB and music for extra entertainment.

The integrated USB port lets you use a USB stick to play music, so your child can listen to their favourite songs while using the car.

The music player also has volume control, making it easy to adjust the sound level. Together with the lights, the two speed modes and the sporty dashboard, your child gets plenty of features to discover while driving.

Designed for children aged 3 to 8.

The BMW i8 Coupé is recommended for children aged 3 to 8 and has a maximum user weight of 30 kg. The integrated seat gives your child a proper driving position and makes the car a complete battery-powered ride-on.

The model measures 1150 × 730 × 460 mm and has a net weight of 16 kg. It is made of plastic and combines a roomy format for your child with a sporty, low profile.

Thoughtful design with opening doors.

The opening doors add to the feeling of a real sports car and make it easier for your child to get in and out. The dashboard has a clear layout, and the car's details are designed to echo the look of the full-size BMW i8.

The sporty shapes combined with modern wheels give the car a stylish look that suits the futuristic character of the BMW i8 Coupé.

A complete package to get started.

The package includes the BMW i8 Coupé kids' electric car, a charger, a remote control and a user manual. This means you get the most important parts for driving and charging right from the start.

With 70 W total motor output, a 12 V 4.5 Ah battery, a speed of around 3–7 km/h, two speed modes, puncture-proof tyres, a USB function and a remote control, your child gets a well-thought-out first electric car.

A sporty first electric car for little BMW fans.

The BMW i8 Coupé combines sporty design with features that are easy for younger drivers to use. The two 35 W motors deliver 70 W in total, while the speed of around 3–7 km/h and the high- and low-speed modes let you vary the driving experience.

With a 12 V 4.5 Ah battery, puncture-proof tyres, front and rear lights, USB music, opening doors and an included remote control, your child gets a complete electric car for lots of fun drives. Order the BMW i8 Coupé kids' electric car from Wheelyshop and give your little driver their own BMW-inspired sports-car experience.

Laws & rules

EU-wide rules
  • Electric bikes: under Regulation (EU) 168/2013 a pedal-assisted bike with a motor of max 250 W that cuts out at 25 km/h is a bicycle in every EU country – no registration, licence or insurance. Anything more powerful or faster is a moped (L1e) with type approval, registration, licence, insurance and helmet requirements.
  • Electric scooters: e-scooters are excluded from the EU regulation, so each country sets its own rules on speed, power, minimum age, helmets, insurance and registration. In most countries the limit is 20–25 km/h.
  • More powerful models: a scooter that exceeds your country’s limits may only be used on private or enclosed land.
